Sun's Twin Discovered

Discovery website:

http://news.discovery.com/space/suns-twin-is-an-optimum-seti-target-120426.html

Here is a really cool article about the discovery of a twin sun about 200 light years away that might (or might not) have similar planets to our solar system.

The reason I am posting this is because of a statement they made that got me wondering...

"Keep in mind that any alien astronomers on such a planet would be studying Earth as it appeared in the early 1800s. That information, encoded in light, is just arriving at HP 56948 now. Our radio and television signal leaking into space won't reach the star for another 130 years. In the absence of such an electromagnetic signature extraterrestrials may overlook Earth and scout elsewhere."

Does that mean they would only see the light from our planet or they could actually see what was going on on our planet from the 1800s? Would that be like time traveling?

Big Bang Theory

I should have listen to my mother and sister when they told me about the show The Big Bang Theory when it first came out a couple of years ago. I didnt start watching until its reruns started on TBS and I haven't been able to stop watching! What a funny ass show! Who knew nerds and science could be so funny.

Personally I would have killed Sheldon a long time ago, but somehow he always manages to sneak back into to being liked ... for a liltle while anyways. Bazinga!

Poor Penny, I feel bad that she seems to be the butt of most of the jokes with not understanding the nerdlings and the science talk. Unfortuanlyt they had to cast the part as a blond which only makes it worse.

Did anyone get to see the episode with Steven Hawking? It is one not to be missed, although I would have liked to have seen Dr. Hawking more in the episode.

It looks like tonights episode Wolowitz and Bernadette are getting married! This should be interesting!

WELCOME to Two Twisted Sisters!

Hi! I’m Kat!

Welcome to Two Twisted Sisters Blog, the Misadventure of Kat and Furball (aka Jen my younger sister).

This blog is going to be a mix of funny, weird and annoying things that we run into every day. Sometimes there will be updates on our family and friends too. We plan on also doing reviews of movies that either was freaking hilarious or just plain stupid.  So enjoy and feel free to leave comments, we are not censoring ourselves too much but please no rude and crude comments, we are all here just having fun! Here is a tidbit about Jen, as you can see she is a great writer and my best friend. She will probably make more sense then I will in the posts but that is why we balance each other out so well.

Hi, I'm Jen.
I just turned 25 so I'm going through my quarter-life crisis. I love to laugh and to make people laugh. After all it is the best medicine. Music and photography are my biggest passions in life and I hope to one day be a Professional photographer. I'm also a movie addict. You could literally watch a movie a day for a year and a half and still wouldn't go through all of my collection.

Last but not least, I wanna say how important the person I will be blogging with is. Kat is my best friend! I'm so glad that we have been blessed with the time to grow closer! We are two Twisted Sisters for sure and I wouldn't and couldn't imagine going through all the crazy things life has thrown at us with anyone else!

(you would never guess we were sisters)

We thank you for coming by and hope you enjoy our ranting’s!

2012 is great so far!

2012 is Great so far....
I got my G.E.D. in the mail and I passed! So excited because it's been a looong time coming! I don't know what I was so afraid of but after I took the test I felt great about it. When I went that first day I remember being so scared because I didn't know what to expect. When I got there, there was so many different types of people. Old and young, which made me feel better because I was not the oldest one there. It feels like such a relief but I know that it's just the beginning. Can't wait to see what the rest of this year has to come!
Bring It On 2012!!
